Blue Bamboo has added debit transactions to the suite of services it provides to merchants through smartphones in the US, starting with the Redfin Network at the end of April.
Justin Anderson, VP, Blue Bamboo, explained, ‘The smartphone with PA-DSS software can pair over BlueTooth with the Blue Bamboo H50 delivering fast, reliable and secure EMV (Level 1 & 2), PCI-PED compliant transactions. The approach mirrors our already popular P25-M approach for smartphone credit card-present solutions.’
Blue Bamboo claims the H50 EPOS device is suitable for a variety of environments and with PA-DSS software for smartphones and Blue Bamboo middleware, leads to increased transaction opportunities and new sales channels. Unlike some other mobile options, it also produces paper receipts if required.
