Kasikornbank is more aggressive in the mobile banking business, which catered service to 1.8 million clients in the first half or 24 % over the same period last year.
Art Wichiencharoen, senior director for electronics business, said the most popular services are the pre-paid card top-up and bill payments. In the first half, the bank cleared nearly 4 million transactions, up 60% on year.
To promote the mobile banking business, the bank has offered free services under the “K-Mobile Banking Plus” campaign. Fees collected will be transferred to clients’ accounts in the following months.
Art said that the bank is ready to further improve the service, to cope with the growing number and growing demand of mobile phone users.
